Extreme Makeover: Church Edition just got a lot more EXTREME! Due to some very unusual storms that blew through the Bathgate area, our Extreme Makeover trip iis cancelled. Strong winds have blown the roof off of our church (literally) and have even blown down parts of the outer walls. Unfortunately it's going to take us some time to reorganize, but we hope to have this trip rescheduled soon for 2013. For now, take a look at some of these updated photos as we begin to pick up the pieces.

Bathgate, Scotland
Situated between Edinburgh and Glasgow, Bathgate is the fastest growing town in West Lothian. Centrepoint Church has recently planted a congregation in this town to help meet the cry for a healthy, gospel-centered, church. And it’s growing at an astonishing rate. People are driving to Bathgate from surrounding towns on Sunday mornings just to worship with like-minded believers. Believers who want to see their towns and communities reached with the Gospel.
Extreme Makeover: Church Edition (Phase 1) Centrepoint Bathgate has recently received an enormous blessing. Another church in the town of Bathgate will soon be closing its doors. The pastor of the church, who wants to see the Gospel win in West Lothian, wants to donate their church building and land to Centrepoint Church. It’s located in the heart of the town where everyday thousands of people pass by it. Built in 1979, the church has deteriorated over time and is in great need of repair.
So What Will This Trip Look Like?
We are looking for people who don’t mind getting their hands dirty! We are offering two 10-day trips, back-to-back, in order to begin the restoration of this church for Jesus. The first trip will be held on June 23, 2012-July 2, 2012. The second will start on June 30, 2012-July 9, 2012. If you are looking for an opportunity to serve in a practical way, you won’t be disappointed. Throughout the week we will also go to the town square where you can engage people in Gospel conversations using tools such as “The God Test” or “The Picture Survey” in a fun and interactive, yet natural way.
